Field Service Technician Job Description
Candidate will perform field commissioning of high performance camera robotic products at customer installations. Must be capable of working within a team environment to plan, organize, execute and thoroughly document system designs, including the ability to assist in developing technical solutions for customers. Test and debug skills are necessary; must understand interoperability of hardware and software. Knowledge of and experience with analog and digital design (motor drive, microcontrollers) are a plus. Must be able to manage and support multiple tasks on a consistent basis, while providing the highest level of service.

In addition, the candidate will participate in all aspects of the service and production test departments of high performance camera robotic products at the factory. Needs to demonstrate the ability to use appropriate production tools, and have a mechanical aptitude. System and PC board level testing, with troubleshooting, to include use of; proprietary software, analog / digital circuits, linear & switching power supplies, and wire cabling troubleshooting. Candidate will maintain a positive quality assurance atmosphere at all times. Good verbal and writing skills are required. AAS Electronics or equivalent; 3 years or more applicable experience preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
• Candidate will do field commissioning of product at customer installations.
• Candidate will participate in all aspects of the Production Test and Service departments for high performance robotic camera products.
• Creation and upkeep of company product documents. • Maintenance of current products and feature additions.
• Coordinate multiple build activities internally with engineering projects. • Directing test engineers and technicians on specific projects.
• Provide customer support in the factory and in the field.

Job Qualifications

• AAS Electronics or equivalent; 3 years or more applicable experience.
• Must be capable of working within a team environment to plan and execute.
• Must be capable of thoroughly trouble shooting and documenting complex system designs.
• Proven ability to assist in developing technical solutions to customer specifications.
• Experience with testing and debugging; in field customer sites.
• Strong Knowledge of time management
• Networking, basic knowledge of; addressing IP numbers, gateways, and firewalls
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital and embedded design (motor drives, D/A, A/D, embedded microcontroller circuitry).
• Mechanical aptitude to include motion devices; motors, gears, etc..
• Knowledge of design, development, test engineering, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of Front End graphical user interface design
• Ability to read hardware block diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of PCB schematic and layout tools a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, etc...
• Good verbal and writing skills are necessary.
• Willing to travel domestically and international, less than 50%.
