Russian Broadcaster NTV Airs Nightly News Program TodayWith Telemetrics Camera Robotics & Control Software.
Camera Robotics Enhance Broadcasts With Unique Camera Perspectives.
Mahwah, NJ -- As a leading Russian broadcaster, NTV has introduced many innovative production techniques and technologies in an effort to continually improve the quality of their programming. Recently, NTV employed the services of Uniserv to install a Telemetrics Camera Robotics System with the companys new TM-CPS Control Software in their news studio. The camera robotics system is used to produce NTVs nightly news program called Today.
NTVs camera robotics system includes Telemetrics Camera Trolley System and Pan Tilt Mechanism with a Panasonic AW-E600 camera and Canon YN-18x6.7 KTS lens. The system is mounted on the ceiling of NTVs news studio to provide unique camera angles, and complements camera angles shot from a crane without taking any additional studio space.
The camera robotics installed at NTV are controlled using Telemetrics TM-CPS Control Software with a new convergence option that provides camera operator like movements. This enables the system to perform smooth transitions between previously selected locations based on four parameters: horizontal and vertical camera angle, distance between starting and stopping points, and speed of the movement.
Telemetrics TM-CPS Control Software allows the system operator to preset the key points of the trajectory as single shots and display live video on the monitor. The operator can track the movement of the system on the monitor and use a mouse, joystick or touch screen monitor to select desired camera positions. The interface is simple and intuitively understandable.
Telemetrics Camera Robotics Systems are being successfully employed around the world in a variety of applications, said Anthony Cuomo, V.P. Telemetrics, Inc. We welcome NTV to the Telemetrics family of users and wish them continued success in the Russian TV market.
